It’s still you big day! Yet, I would be remiss if I didn’t touch on the economic conditions and the impact on everyday spending and even some wedding budgets. As we continue down a seemingly more uncertain path, with each passing day, it is important that we remember a few basic principles that have seen us through these hard times before. With the past two weeks full of weddings and events, our team at Narcissus came through big time for each our beautiful brides! Creating memorable designs and working with many different varietals and textures.   Together we worked with bountiful fall arrangements to blooms that echoed the lingering hints of summer. From pomegranates and cherries to more traditional  soft pink “Sophie” roses and the “Latin Breeze” with accents of stephanotis… our brides and their floral selections have run the gamut over the past few weeks! Fall is for Flowers!   It’s only the first weekend after labor day, the unofficial end of summer… but this year our brides are not wasting anytime and diving into fall with both feet. The beautiful varietals and textures we will be working with range from antique hydrangea in rich mauve and burgundy to shades of muted greens, jewel toned dahlia’s and brilliant red hanging amaranthus, pomegranates, cherries and hypericum berry to name a few.   Working with different textures and varietals is by far our favorite past time and this weekend, incorporating fresh fruit to both the centerpieces as well as the bridal party, will be no exception! Your Summer Wedding

We at Narcissus are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with so many brides and help create beautiful memories through floral artistry! This week we are working with beautiful varietals of orchids for one of our weddings. Namely the Cymbidium Orchid in rich Mocha tones and Celedon Green. Orchids, as many tropical blooms, are ideal for summer weddings as they are very resistant to weather extremes much like the recent heat waves stretching from the west to east coast this year. Orchids provide a clean and elegant look, with crisp lines and vivid color this tropical varietal is also available in white tones.
